GMBNI Intervention in Jigawa State

1. COVID-19 Palliative Distribution: Supporting 1,500 Households

During the COVID-19 pandemic, GMBNI reached out to 1,500 households across various communities in Jigawa State, providing essential palliatives to ease their hardship. The beneficiaries included residents of:

  • Kandi Town, Dutse LGA
  • Dunduɓus Town, Dutse LGA
  • Andaza Town, Kiyawa LGA
  • Fado Town, Dutse LGA

2. Flood Relief: Helping 3,000 Flood-Affected Households

In response to the devastating floods, GMBNI distributed palliatives to 3,000 households in the hardest-hit communities. The relief efforts extended to:

  • Manɗa Community, Kaugama LGA
  • Wangara Community, Dutse LGA
  • Agura Town, Kafin-hausa LGA

3. Access to Clean Drinking Water: Open Wells for 10 Communities

GMBNI constructed open wells to provide potable drinking water to over 10 communities, including:

  • Ginzu-Fulani Town, Kiyawa LGA
  • Nasarawan-Ɗinya Town, Kiyawa LGA
  • Tinan-nan Town, Kiyawa LGA
  • Malamawar-Fulani Town, Dutse LGA
  • Katsama Town, Buji LGA
  • Sabarari Village, Buji LGA
  • Lukutun-karewa Village, Gwaram LGA

4. Education Enhancement: Classroom Renovation

GMBNI renovated a block of classrooms at Gagarayaga Government Girls Day Junior Secondary School in Gwaram Tsohuwa, Gwaram LGA, providing a better learning environment for the students.

5. Youth Empowerment: Leadership Training

Over 50 youths, both male and female, were sensitized on the art of leadership, empowering them with skills and knowledge to lead their communities effectively.

6. Alleviating Hardship: Rice Distribution to Women Groups

To ease the economic hardship, GMBNI distributed 50 bags of rice to women groups in Dutse, providing much-needed support to the community.

7. Ramadan Feeding Programme: Supporting Almajiris

During Ramadan, GMBNI’s feeding programme benefited over 500 Almajiris in Dutse, ensuring they had nutritious meals to break their fast

8. Boosting Religious Activities: Mosque Construction

GMBNI built mosques in various communities, fostering religious activities and providing a place for worship and community gatherings.

9. Bringing Joy to the Detained: Paying Fines for Inmates

In an effort to bring happiness to the less fortunate, GMBNI paid fines totaling over 300,000 Naira for inmates serving various sentences in correctional centres, facilitating their release and reunification with their families.
